What is Hoodia?
Hoodia is a succulent plant that grows in the Kalahari Desert in Southern Africa. How much weight will I lose if I use Hoodia?
That really depends on your diet and exercise. Hoodia is an amazing weapon to cut hunger and cravings, of course we all still need to eat. What you decide to eat for your meals and how much you exercise will determine how much weight you lose.

Quick geography lesson - the Kalahari Desert is in southern Africa and covers over 100,000 sq mi. Numerous countries have land in the Kalahari Desert including: South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
The Bushmen primarily live and travel across South Africa and Botswana. So, the hoodia that the Bushmen use is not only found in the country of South Africa, but also in the country of Botswana - located in southern Africa. You can get very good hoodia gordonii from the Botswana section of the Kalahari Desert, which is not South Africa (the country) hoodia. For this reason we think it is more accurate to say "You should only get Hoodia Gordonii from the Kalahari Desert".
Why Does 20:1mg of Hoodia Concentrate = 400mg of Hoodia Powder?
It takes 2,000 pounds of genuine Hoodia Gordonii cactus cores to make 100 pounds of Hoodia Gordonii powder. So if you take 20 pounds of raw Hoodia (wet) and dry it, turn it into chips and process it into to powder (dry) you only end up with 1 pound. To be accurate, this is called a 20:1 concentrate. So the 20:1 concentrate in each piece of CHEWAWAYGUM is equivilant to 400 mg of pure Hoodia Gordonii powder.
So I will never be hungry if I eat a hoodia plant supplement?
Not exactly. We all need food to survive, when we feel hungry because we do not have enough food for the body to function this is called real hunger. You can not completely starve your body no matter how much Hoodia you eat. At some point your brain will figure out you do need food to function.
However, when you feel hungry because your insulin levels are bouncing all over the place, this is called hormonal hunger. It is this hormonal hunger which does in most people's diets. I hear about diet pills all the time - what make Hoodia different?

If you run the machine (body) hotter, faster and harder - you burn more fuel (calories). I think you can see the problem here - run any machine too hot and hard for long and you can have problems.
